03/28/2011 Klabin and Konitech presented in the OSIsoft UC in San Francisco

Klabin and Konitech jointly presented in the OSIsoft Users 2011 held in San Francisco, USA. The event was OSIsoft's highest attended conference yet with over 1,300 attendees from over 350 companies. OSIsoft celebrates its 30th anniversary during the Users Conference.
The title of the presentation was “Integrating the PI System with SAP”.
In 2005, Klabin began to use the PI System to derive better operational performance through process optimization in various areas of the mill. This presentation includes examples of projects done for process improvements and ROI with the PI System, including the PI System with SAP-QM communication and the PI System with SAP-PM communication, the focus of this presentation.
Klabin was pioneer in Brazil on this type of initiative. The first integration between the PI system and SAP was done using the RLINK connector back in 2001.
In 2006 Klabin selected the SAP MII (Manufacturing Integration Intelligence) platform  to be the standard corporate framework for  MOM ( Manufacturing Operations Management) applications.
SAP MII has been used over the years in the company to support many strategic initiatives, such as OEE, MES, TPM and others.
